Do A Double Stitch!
Double Stitch? What is that you may ask? Well let me assure you - it is rustic! If you visit the fine people over at Mountain Patchwork you will find an old fashioned way of piecing different quilt blocks. I think it looks quite homey and the history behind it is most enchanting.
It is also known as Promise Stitch. Treadleworks by Tammy has step-by-step instructions and pictures to follow.
So why not pick your favorite block and give it a try! Let us know what you think.

Welcome to Blogging, Kelli! You are off to a great start with plenty of good things to come. The Double Stitch makes a really finish to a block, especially on the Log Cabin and it's easy to do. Ann :)

ReplyDeleteWelcome to blog land! It's great fun and a cool way to connect. I'm not necessarily a "primitive" person although I do decorate in the cabin in the woods thing. At least that's what my children say, I just think it comfortable! I like things done in old-fashioned ways so you can be sure I'll be checking out these links.
