A New Year and New Projects!

Hello To All My BloglandFriends!

I hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year! My hubby was off one week so we relaxed and enjoyed our time together but when the alarm rang this morning it was back to business and a regular routine.

I've decided that in 2010 I am going to make the quilt projects I have on hand and also start another hand project. I fell in love with wool while doing my sister's table runner and while browsing the web, I found a book about crazy quilting with wool. I think I'll draw up my own ideas and play around with them before I do any buying, but it is a fun thing to contemplate.

Right now I'm doing a raggedy log cabin quilt for my niece - she wants pastel blue and yellow and that is that! She has very specific tastes and knows what she likes so she picked the pattern and the lights and darks and here we are! I'm hoping to finish it soon so she can have it at college with her still this winter.

I'd love to hear from all of you about what you are going to work on - send me pictures or just drop me a line and tell me what you are up to!

Thanks for all your support and encouragement in 2009 and I look forward to sewing with you in 2010~

  2. That holiday routine is hard to break! I really liked the wool table runner you made for your sister so I'm keen to see what you come up with for your crazy wool patches. The rag quilt for your niece is going to be terrific. They are such pretty colours, too. Right now I'm working on a baby quilt and some Christmas projects. I have a few UFOs to work on this year too. Happy Stitching, Ann :-)
